StandardMeet the minimum on all four components

Standards change and can differ between agencies. Always confirm the current requirements with the agency you're applying to. Official PARE, COPAT and POPAT tests are booked through the Canadian Criminal Justice Academy. All other official tests are arranged by your agency. Wolfhound Health isn't affiliated with the hiring agencies listed above.

How the program works

  1. Step 1

    Free virtual consult

We talk through your test, your date, your training history and any injuries.

  2. Step 2

    Baseline against your test

We measure the fitness your test demands, so you know where you're ahead and where you're short.

  3. Step 3

    Four-week training blocks

Your program arrives in the app and targets your weakest components first.

  4. Step 4

    Retest and test-day plan

We retest every block, then plan your final week, warm-up and pacing for test day.

Questions

Do you run the official test?

Yes, for three of them. Official PARE, COPAT and POPAT tests are held in the same building through our affiliate, the Canadian Criminal Justice Academy, and Quinn Croal is the tester. You train and test in the same familiar space, with no surprises on the day.

For A-PREP, WFX-FIT and CAF FORCE, we run practice tests on the same equipment used for official testing, so you know exactly where you stand. Practice tests are booked separately from your training program, and your official test is arranged through the agency you're applying to.

Will I train on the actual test equipment?

No. Your training is a fitness program, not a rehearsal of the test course. We use strength, functional and cardiovascular training in the gym to build the physical ability each test component demands. If you want a run-through on the real equipment, book a practice test separately.

How far ahead of my test should I start?

Ideally 8 to 12 weeks, which gives you two or three training blocks. If your date is sooner, we focus first on the components where you're furthest from the standard.

I didn't pass my last attempt. Can you help?

Yes. Tell us where you lost time or which component stopped you, and we'll build your next block around it before your retest.

Can I train online?

Yes. Blueprint and Coached are delivered through the Wolfhound coaching app, so you can train at your own gym anywhere. Hybrid adds a weekly in-person session in Calgary.

Is it covered by my benefits?

Assessments and exercise therapy by a Professional Kinesiologist are covered by many extended health plans, and you get an itemized receipt to claim. Coverage varies, so check your plan before you start.

Who qualifies for the 15% offer?

Current or retired military, police and firefighters. It applies to your first four-week block or your first assessment. Mention it when you book.
